How It Supports Your Training

The ceiling beta-alanine raises is the carnosine reservoir in your muscles. Every hard set drives up hydrogen ions; carnosine buffers them. When the reservoir runs low, pH drops faster than it can recover, and the muscle can't keep firing. That's the burn that ends the set.
